Dream MKV Converter is a multi-format video converter. Despite MKV being on the application's title, this converter can open pretty much any format and convert it to an array of other formats, including, of course, MKV. After my testing, I now conclude that Dream MKV Converter is better equipped to convert files from MKV than to MKV.
MKV is a format that is immensely popular these days. It allows for multiple audio, video, and subtitle tracks to be saved in a single file. A good converter that allows you to convert files to MKV should allow you to add several video, audio, and subtitle tracks to an MKV file and Dream MKV Converter does not. There are two fields at the bottom of the screen that read: Subtitle and Audio Track. But they are disabled unless you add an MKV file with multiple audio or subtitle tracks. In that case, you use those fields to choose which track you want in your final file. But, you can't add several tracks to your files.
Converting to the other formats supported by this tool is a very smooth experience. I saw great results in terms of quality and speed. There is a YouTube video downloader that works great.
